Assessment and Frequency:
Medication competency is not a one-time event. We only conduct classroom-based competency assessments for Medication Management Level 3 and Level 2 Safer Medication Handling.
Initial assessment is completed following training; however, direct observation of medication administration in the workplace remains the responsibility of the employer.
Competency should be reviewed at least annually, with additional assessments required following a medication incident or a significant change in an individual’s care plan.
For the course medication competency, please speak with our team to arrange an in-house training for you team. We will discuss this with one of our trainers as a tailored content and assessment will be required for different settings.
