Basic Life Support Train the Trainer Update Summary

This course is run over 1 day, during this you will learn about how to teach and assess the following key areas:

  • Recovery position
  • Bleeding – causes, control measures and risk limitation
  • Shock
  • CPR Demonstration and practice D.R.S.A.B.C.
  • Unconsciousness/head injuries
  • Choking – responding effectively and practical demonstration

NOTE: In order to attend this course delegates will need to have an in date Train the trainer certificate in this subject.

Do I need to have prior knowledge before attending this course?

Yes you do. You need to have prior knowledge and competence within the subject at a Train the Trainer level. We will ask you to provide evidence prior to attending the course. If you are unable to provide evidence you will not be allowed to attend, our normal terms and conditions of booking will apply.

This course is to teach you to deliver your own course on the subject, not to teach you the subject itself.

Will I have to conduct a microteach?

Yes you will be required to conduct a minimum 15 minute microteach during the course to the rest of the class.

Where Do You Deliver This Basic Life support Train the Trainer update Training?

We can deliver this Basic Life support Train the trainer update training at your premises, as long as it’s within the UK. We also have our own venues in the Midlands if you don’t have access to a training room.

This training is for anyone who wishes to update/Refresh their Train the Trainer Qualification within this specific subject.

Who Can I Teach After Attending This Course?

Please note you can only teach “inhouse” staff (people within your company). If you wish to train delegates outside of your organisation you will need a Level 3 Award in Education and Training or a teaching qualification.

How Many delegates can i have on one session?

We will run this course for a maximum of 10 delegates – however for larger groups we can either provide multiple trainers on the same day or run multiple days to get everyone trained.

One of our expert tutors who have an abundance of training and assessing experience and knowledge – so you’ll be in great hands!

DURATION

This course lasts approximately 4-6 hours.

CERTIFICATION

Delegates will be issued with certificates of completion valid for a period of 3 years.
