Bowel Management Training
This bowel management training aims to raise awareness and knowledge in relation to bowel management and incontinence.
This course is ideal for care staff responsible for the day to day care of individuals who require assistance with bowel management.
Effective bowel management is especially important for spinal injury patients and those at risk of autonomic dysreflexia.
The course has a base level of theory with practical modules which can be added on as required.

On completion delegates will be able to demonstrate much improved awareness of bowel management.
Delegates will have a greater understanding how to support a client who suffers from incontinence and constipation.
How Many Can Attend Training?
We will run this course for a maximum of 12 delegates – however for larger groups we can either provide multiple trainers on the same day or run multiple days to get everyone trained.
Who Will Conduct The Training?
One of our expert clinical tutors, these are either Nurses or Doctors with an abundance of clinical and complex care experience and knowledge – so you’ll be in great hands!

DURATIONThis course lasts approximately 3 hours – duration will be longer if suppositories, enemas, bowel irrigation or manual evacuation is requested which will be discussed upon booking.
CERTIFICATIONDelegates will be issued with certificates of attendance valid for a period of 1 year.
