First Aid at Work – Level 3 Award Re-qualification
This 3 day First Aid At Work Re-qualification course is aimed at businesses that have staff members who have already completed the Level 3 Award training but need to re-qualify.
First Aid at Work Re-Qualification Course Summary
In brief, the course will cover the following:
- The Law relating to First Aid
- Unconsciousness (including seizure)
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Choking, shock, wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries
- Bone, spinal and muscle/joint injuries
- Chest Injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Eye injuries
- Anaphylactic shock
- Major head injuries
- Stroke and heart attack
- Epilepsy, asthma and diabetes
After attending this course delegates will be able to respond to first aid incidents within the workplace confidently and know the correct procedures.
Current guidelines highly recommend staff attend an annual half day first aid refresher.
If staff hold a First Aid at Work certificate then they can attend a 2 day ‘First Aid at Work Requalification’ course providing:
Their certificate has not expired by more than 1 month (prior to the course start date)
Their certificate has not expired by more than 3 months (prior to the course start date) AND they have attended first aid annual refresher training during their certification period.
If the above criteria is not met then the standard 3 day ‘First Aid at Work’ course should be taken instead.
DURATIONThis course lasts 3 days.
CERTIFICATIONSuccessful delegates will recevie a Qualsafe certificate, which is valid for 3 years.
