Ian
Health and Social Care Trainer
Hi, I’m Ian.
I began my career in Learning and Development over 20 years ago and have since worked across multiple sectors, including Social Care, Education, and Defence.
My focus has always been on helping people not just learn, but perform, turning training into practical, confidence-building experiences.
In Health and Social Care, I’ve worked with organisations nationwide, delivering and developing a wide range of courses from Mandatory and Behaviour Support training to Leadership and Management development.
I’m passionate about raising training standards in the care sector and creating learning that genuinely makes a difference on the front line.
Before moving entirely into training, I served in the British Army, where I developed strong instructional, leadership, and coaching skills — all of which continue to shape my approach today.
Courses include:
- Behaviour Support and Managing Challenging Behaviour (with Breakaway Techniques).
- Safeguarding Adults and Children.
- Leadership & Management Development.
- First Aid and Basic Life Support.
- Medication Awareness.
- Supervision and Appraisal Skills.
- Values and Ethics in Care.
- Hobby: Working towards my Psychology degree, and exploring Vibe coding and building apps.
- Favourite Music: Snow Patrol, but mostly now it's Podcasts (try to make every day a school day)
- Favourite Movie: Anything Sci-Fi. but never still enough to watch a film
