Wound Care Training
This wound care training course is aimed at nurses and advanced care staff responsible for those who are susceptible to pressue sores and skin deterioration.
The course will look at the importance of correctly assessing wounds, the various phases of wound healing and how we as carers and nurses can assist in the process.

Wound Care Course Outcomes
On completion delegates will have an improved understanding of wound care.
They will understand the principles of assessment and the phases of healing and how they can influence the process. Delegates will also have a better understading of when a wound requires specialist intervention and when to escalate to a specialist.
Delegates will understand their roles in relation to documentation and record keeping whilst maintaining privacy, dignity and respect.
Delegates will also have a better understanding of product selection and be confident in their ability to make the right choice
DURATIONThis course lasts approximately 3 hours.
CERTIFICATIONDelegates will be issued with certificates of attendance valid for a period of 1 year.
