Our Reviews

Today’s course was Safe Handling and lifting the trainer was Kevin Shelmerdine. I really enjoyed the course, it was very informative and hands on. We had a chance to use hoists and slings, also slid sheets and other transfer equipment. I would recommend this course as a refresher, or if you are new to a role that requires you to assist with lifting or moving people. You will also find out how your spine works and how improper lifting/moving can cause damage.

Caring for Care have provided several training courses led by Kevin S, for our small residential home, for adults with Learning Disabilities. They have tailored the training to meet our specific needs, and Matt Honour, Business Manager has always offered us a choice of ‘In-house’ training or courses at the centre. All the courses we have had have been of excellent quality, with plenty of time for discussion, practice and learning. Kev made the courses fun, whilst providing us with relevant information and techniques. Matt has been very supportive of our company and is always quick to respond to queries and requests. Thank you. I have recently been on the safer handling of people. I really learnt a lot from this training and the trainer was great and made the whole curse into fun. so we were able to enjoy the course but at the same time learn so much. I would say that for me as a learning on the course, I would have preferred more of a structure to the theory learning and perhaps a little more time spent on it. the practical side was very good and the trainer demonstrated skills and knowledge of the course. Thank you.

I have attended two course with caring for care in stoke. Matt met us at the door and was very welcoming, guided us to our classes and checked that we were happy with the course content. Both tutors were very knowledgeable in their own topics and delivered the courses in an interesting way. I would definitely recommend the courses for both professional and people wanting to gain extra knowledge.

I was worried at first about attending a course as it is many years since I have been in a classroom!

However, I needn’t have worried. Our trainer, Denyse, was lovely and gave me the time and support I needed, especially at first. Having completed my course it has given me a new confidence in life which I thought I would never feel again, so a big thank you to Denyse for a really positive experience.

If anyone reading this is thinking of doing a course then my advice is – just go for it!

I am halfway through the Adult Health and Social Care course, my tutor is Denyse Lane.
I find Denyse to be an excellent communicator, she is very approachable and down to earth taking time to answer questions and explain parts of subjects I am unsure about.
I have been made to feel very welcome and enjoy participating within the group.
Bravo Denyse keep up the good work.

Great company to work for. Since starting on a temporary contract in December 2017 as a data entry, i have been promoted to an administrator and been given a full time permanent contract as well as being enrolled onto a business administration apprenticeship! My boss and other staff members support me and positively motivate me to progress with in the business. Hard work is noticed and appreciated, I finally have a job i enjoy waking up for! I would highly recommend to anyone considering joining the company!
