Basic Life Support Training
This basic life support training course aims to help teach staff a basic knowledge of first aid – covering CPR, recovery position, bleeding, choking and shock.
The course takes place over 3 hours and will teach the theoretical knowledge followed by the relevant practical “hands on” assessments to improve knowledge and skill.
The course will allow staff to confidently respond to minor accidents and incidents within the work place.
The course can be tailored to suit any audience and is suitable for both complete novices or those looking to refresher their basic first aid skills.
This basic life support training course meets all the requirements to fully sign off standard 12 of the care certificate.
Basic Life Support Training Course Summary
- Recovery position
- Bleeding – causes, control measures and risk limitation
- CPR Demonstration and practice D.R.S.A.B.C.
- Unconsciousness/head injuries
- Choking – responding effectively and practical demonstration
On completion delegates will be able to confidently deal with minor first aid issues that arise in the workplace.
Delegates will be able to demonstrate how to correctly position a person in the recovery position, perform CPR confidently and deal with bleeding, shock and choking effectively.
DURATIONThis course lasts approximately 3 hours.
CERTIFICATIONOn completion delegates will be receive a certificate of attendance valid for a period of 1 year.
