The diploma is fully compliant with the Health and Social Care National Occupational Standards approved by Skills for Care and Development. Also, this course is accredited by OFQUAL. By and large, taking this course will help your organization to meet the conditions and standards required by the Care Quality Commission.
How does assessment take place?
The course assessment includes an evaluation of work-based performance, presentation of evidence, witness statements and peer testimony, and question and answer sessions. Furthermore, Delegates will need to put together a portfolio of evidence demonstrating that they can achieve the course objectives to the required standard. To assist in this, course delegates are appointed an accredited QCF assessor who helps assemble their portfolio and guide them throughout the assessment. Likewise, Email and telephone support is also on hand and course resources are provided when required.
What are the entry requirements?
Caring For Care is an equal opportunities provider. and a potential participant only needs to have been employed in a vocational setting relevant to the occupational standards for Health and Social Care in order for them to be able to complete the qualification successfully.
How long will it take?
The course is completely flexible and we encourage students to learn at their own pace. However, the awarding body do stipulate that the course is completed within 36 months. Generally, most students will successfully finish the programme in around 9!
How would I progress further?
Upon completing this programme, graduates can move on to the QCF Level 4 or possibly the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care if they are in an appropriate management position. Alternatively, we offer a huge range of specialist care courses to enhance their chosen pathway.
QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
The QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care has replaced the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
This internationally recognized QCF is the equivalent of an A-level qualification and is the UK industry standard for those working in this sector.
Furthermore, the course targets individuals who have some responsibility in their workplace and often work without supervision.
In addition, upon completion of the training, delegates will have the essential skills and competency necessary to work with adults or children across all social care settings, including:
- primary care services
- domiciliary care
- residential care homes
- day services
- assisting supported living.
Instructors will teach delegates essential health and social care understanding, allowing them to tailor the course to their needs.. They will choose between the Adult pathway and the Children and Young People pathway.
Alternatively, the course can be completed via e-portfolio, giving the student greater flexibility and the ability to learn at a pace that suits them.
