Personal Safety Training

Personal Safety Training for Frontline Workers

Frontline roles bring immense value to communities, but they can also expose staff to challenging, unpredictable, or potentially unsafe situations.

Personal safety training equips frontline workers with the essential skills to manage conflict, de‑escalate aggression, and protect themselves in public‑facing or lone‑working roles.

The training covers effective communication, dynamic risk assessment, safe breakaway and disengagement techniques, and, where appropriate, basic self‑defence principles.

It is particularly valuable in sectors such as healthcare, education, and social care, where staff need confidence, awareness, and practical strategies to stay safe.

The course gives learners the opportunity to recognise early warning signs, respond calmly, resolve situations without physical intervention, and withdraw safely when necessary, staff strengthen both their personal safety and the overall security of their workplace.
